On the Move

Nathan continues to grow and change every day it seems and is constantly on the move. Here are some of his favorite things to do these days.

Drink from an open cup by himself.
Drink his soup from the bowl by himself.
Climb up and get back down. (chairs, steps, beds, stools, etc.)
Take things out and put them back in (cabinets, drawers, boxes, bags, etc.) He's finally getting the point that once things go in the trash can they don't come back out.
"Read" books by himself - do not turn the page without his permission!
Brush his teeth.
Brush his (and everyone else's) hair.
Play ball and cars (which always go "broom broom").
Put lids on and take them back off.
Sing and dance. (with applause at the end)
With A LOT of help climb up the steps to the big slide and slide down with out ANY help.
Push everything - wheels or not!
Eat toilet paper, notebook paper, book spines, etc. like a goat.

Dogs, cats, birds, and bugs fascinate him, as does the toilet.
Bicycles, cars, motorcycles . . . he has to get his hands on them.

He's keeping us hopping these days! And we're learning tons about patience, independence, and how to have fun!!!

Vacation

Here's a few pictures from our recent vacation. Enjoy!

peppers being dried to make crushed hot pepper flakes

a hillside covered in mineral deposits left behind by the water of natural hot springs
it was like a natural water park

ancient ruins under excavation

looking over the valley from the ruins
do you see the white in the distance?
that's the mineral deposits in the previous pictures

nathan playing in our huge bathtub
it was like his own personal swimming pool

outside our hotel
do you see the huge aloe vera plant in the background?
just behind it is a really pretty pomegranate tree

sunset over the valley just as we arrived to check into our hotel
